My research career has developed in the field of Paleobiology. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont. My work has mainly focused on the study of the evolution of life history traits (e.g. growth rate, age at maturity, longevity) in mammals in the interdisciplinary framework of Palaeontology, Evolutionary Biology and Ecology. Specifically, I use the bone and dental histology to study growth patterns and life-history traits of fossil mammals. Several of my recent studies have dealt with the evolution of life-history traits and population dynamics associated to insularity.
