Image analysis, in a biosciences context, is aimed to extract quantitative information (e.g. cell counts, size of areas, length more) from scientific images. Most of these images are from microscopy, computed tomography, laser scans or another imaging system. This quantitative information will be used latter in statistical analysis, which will test the scientific hypothesis behind them. Dr. Pertusa did a great job teaching participants how to get the information they need in each case from their case studies. Participants and organizers greatly appreciate his dedication and effort for making his teaching entertaining as well as enlightening.
From the pixel to 3D image reconstruction, learning why we humans like so much the green surroundings and many bits of history. Dr. Pertusa has made his classes really accessible and interesting, devoting time to solve the problems that attendees have bring from their own research.
